Direct Sales from your online store

Simple commission formulas for the 2 categories of product lines:

Products in the catalog are either OEM or categorized as Compatible.

First we will explain the O.E.M. (commonly called “Original Equipment Manufacturer” or the “Brand name product”):

This is an example of an OEM Lexmark laser toner cartridge.

This is an example of an OEM Hewlett-Packard (HP) ink cartridge.

You will receive a straight 5% commission on all O.E.M. products. These are products that are manufactured by and sold under the names Hewlett Packard, Canon, Lexmark, Epson, etc. I’m sure you get the idea. Just like in the Pharmaceutical World, you have a brand name and then they have a generic brand offered at substantial saving. Many well informed consumers will select the “lower cost” generic product if they understand all the facts.

The O.E.M. brand products, their availability and prices are controlled by the manufactures and until recently, it was virtually impossible to make a reasonable retail profit and still be competitive with volume retailers. Technology has changed the industry and increased competition.

The following table would illustrate an O.E.M. product order from a business and your commissions:

Product Number Quantity Price Per Unit Total Cost 5% Commission
HP C4127X 2 $122.97 $244.94 $12.24
Lexmark 64415XA 2 $367.97 $735.94 $36.79
Canon BCI 3e 2 $15.99 $31.98 $1.60
Total: $1012.86 $50.63

The second category of consumable products is the “compatible”, which consumers typically will refer to as the generic brand.

Compatible Products are quality products produced by 3rd party manufactures and provide the store owner an opportunity to earn a substantial 20% commission on sales. You may ask why the difference in the commissionable rate. Compatible products do not have a heavy burden of advertising costs associated to their price and do not go to subsidize the price of that low cost or free printer you purchased or received. The compatible products have been engineered to rival and at times exceed the quality characteristics of the similar name brand items.

The wise shopper has always believed it best to pay for the product and not the name on the box!

Example of a compatible inkjet cartridge.

Example of a compatible toner product.

Compatible printer supply products are called “Earth Friendly” because many reuse and recycle previously product components. These are a premium category of products using cutting edge manufacturing technology and are a substantial percentage of the current market. In 2008 they represented approximately 35% of the toner and ink sales in the growing world markets. Businesses, Governments, Institutions and individuals are searching out these products like never before. They offer a 100% quality guarantee and up to 70% savings compared to the O.E.M. brands.

The following table would illustrate a compatible product order from a business and your commissions.

Product Number Quantity Price Per Unit Total Cost 20% Commission
Comp. HP C4127X 2 $47.97 $95.94 $19.18
Comp. Lexmark 64415XA 2 $142.97 $285.94 $57.18
Comp. Canon BCI 3e 2 $4.57 $9.14 $1.82
Total: $391.02 $78.18

(With savings such as these your business clients will come back whenever they need printer supplies.)

Regardless of the choice your customer makes, we have the products they need and the outstanding service to deliver value in every transaction. Many of the national supply stores buckled to the pressure of the equipment manufacturers, such as Hewlett Packard and no longer make compatible products available in their local stores.

This creates a great advantage for savings through your online store and many repeat customers.
